Marco’s interest in photography began with the inimitable Jacque Cousteau. To experience the mysteries of the sea for himself, he became a certified scuba diver and took numerous diving trips to the Bahamas. He soon learned that - to the naked eye - everything below 30 feet underwater seems a dull brown hue. In order to accurately observe marine life in all of its colorful wonder, it is necessary to bring in light. As Marco began to memorialize his interactions with this hidden watery world through photography, he gained an understanding of light and color that became the foundation of his photographic pursuits.
Today Marco specializes in portraits, individual and collective sports (soccer, body building, etc.) with an emphasis in portraiture for the yoga and ballet professions. The application of light onto the athletic human body is a particular focus, so to speak, of Marco’s sports portraiture.
